EBC HPSR brake disk, rigid version. MADE IN UK.
The aim of the development is to improve the braking behavior compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is considerably more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3 micron thick layer of zinc, which is abraded in the brake pad contact zone when the brakes are applied. Only in this area can slight rust film form during longer periods of use.
The brake discs are drilled in a bird's-eye design in order to minimize the number of holes while at the same time optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.
- Brake ring milled from forged HPSR steel with low carbon content.
- Therefore no distortion of the brake disk even under maximum load.
- No glazing of the braking surface, so the coefficient of friction remains constant.
- Braking surface drilled with optimized hole pattern.
- Galvanized to protect against corrosion.
- Lowest manufacturing tolerances.
- EBC recommends EBC Double-H Sinter brake pads for best braking performance.
- Unique design.
