Tip:

Thoroughly clean aluminum rims before wintering so that there is no bad awakening in spring. Dirt has accumulated especially on the rear of the rim. Because brake abrasion, which burns into layers of paint, causes small holes in the paint to the bright aluminum. The moisture then creates the so-called "contact corrosion", which infiltrates the paint layers and causes ugly stains. These mini-holes, which can also be caused by stone chips, are covered by the dirt. After thorough cleaning, these weak points become visible. Simply touch up and avoid further damage.
