Remove pedal arm or kickstarter 2. Place the tool's chain around the sprocket 3. Place the tool's retaining ring on the pedal/kickstarter shaft 4. The sprocket nut can now be unscrewed or screwed on. The tool does not need to be held, so both hands are free for sprocket removal. Caution: Be sure to check whether the shaft has a left-hand or right-hand thread to avoid damage.
