This influences the correction air or brake air, which is particularly important when the slide is fully open at low and high engine speeds. The aim is to keep the fuel/air ratio constant over the entire speed range. Without correction air, the fuel supply would increase faster than the air supply as the engine speed increases, which could lead to over-greasing at high engine speeds.
