The Polini Maxi Hi-Speed is one of the strongest-built variomatics out there for maxi-scooters. Special attention has been given to the design of the roller ways, which as a result better utilise the engine´s power band than the original variomatic. This means the gear ratio changes at a torque related to a more favourable RPM range. This gives rise to better acceleration and a higher top speed. The Polini variomatic also demonstrates notable manufacturing quality and reliabilty. Sealed slide bearings in conjunction with cleanly manufactured bearing bushes reduce the friction levels and the dirt resistance in the sliding motion considerably. Result: perfect shifting and long service life due to reduced wear.
