The Brembo monobloc brake caliper "M50" was first used in 2011 for the Ducati 1199 Panigale. It is a further development of the Brembo *M4* brake caliper, which has a special braking performance.

The monobloc technology, which Brembo successfully introduced to MotoGP in 1994, allows the caliper body to be obtained from a single aluminum casting to ensure optimum rigidity. The number 50 honors the 50th anniversary of the company.
