Lithium-ion battery with overcharge protection from Skyrich

The Power Sports lithium-ion batteries in the LTM line are characterized by a heat-resistant, waterproof nylon housing and improved, stronger terminal connections.

Replacing a standard lead-acid battery with a Skyrich lithium-ion battery can save up to 5 kg in weight without significant effort.

Overcharge Protection (OP):

The Skyrich battery has an extended battery management system (BMS) which, in addition to the balancers (ensures even charging of the battery), also includes overcharge protection.

This prevents the battery from being charged with a voltage of over 14.9V.

Waterproof IP65 (W):

The battery is completely waterproof and will not be damaged if the motorcycle is cleaned under high pressure.

Due to their specific properties, lead-acid batteries can only use 30% of their capacity, whereas lithium-ion batteries can use almost 100% of their capacity.

For this reason, the lithium versions of Skyrich batteries require only 1/3 of the capacity of a comparable lead-acid battery for the same starting power.

With the help of adapters, the dimensions of the lithium-ion batteries correspond to the dimensions of the original lead-acid batteries.

The connections are also identical, which is why the battery can be replaced in just a few minutes without any further adjustments.

Please note that only suitable chargers may be used for charging. We recommend JMP chargers.

Under no circumstances should chargers be used that attempt to desulphate deeply discharged batteries below 10 volts with a voltage of more than 14.9 volts before starting the actual charging process.

The manufacturer guarantees sufficient starting capacity down to -5 degrees Celsius.

Technology

Skyrich lithium-ion batteries use iron phosphate (LiFePO4) as the cathode material and use the lithium polymer process in their manufacture. This means that they cannot burst into flames or explode during normal operation.

The technology and manufacturing process ensure the highest safety standard for lithium batteries.

Intact batteries do not pose any particular danger. If the battery casing cracks or leaks, the following hazards may occur:

• Harmful if swallowed
• Causes severe skin burns and eye damage
• Suspected of causing cancer
• May cause respiratory irritation
• Causes damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure
• If the battery is short-circuited, overcharged, or overheated, electrolyte may leak from the battery or the battery may burn/explode

• Wash face, hands, and exposed skin thoroughly after receiving

Eyes

If on skin (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Inhalation

If inhaled: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor.

Ingestion

If swallowed: If you feel unwell, call a POISON CENTER or doctor. Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting.
