Each crash pad set is individually adapted to the respective motorcycle model. The dimensions are designed in such a way that the pads are only placed after the footrests, are narrower than the handlebars, and protect the frame, tank and fairing parts on the motorcycle, as well as the driver's knee.

The screws and materials used have different strength classes. In the event of severe falls or unevenness, the screw connection absorbs a large part of the impact energy at predetermined bending points. This also protects the threads of the frame or engine mounting points.

The R19 crash pads are supplied with a gray rubber cap. For an individual color design, Puig also offers the rubber caps in other colors for retrofitting.
