The Polini Maxi Hi-Speed ??variator is one of the strongest variators in the maxi-scooter range. The emphasis was placed on the construction of the roller tracks, which utilise the existing power band of the engine a more efficient manner than the original variator. This means that the ratio changes more favourably in the lower rev range. This provides greater acceleration and a little more top-end speed. Also in terms of build quality and reliability, these Polini variators are impressive. A sealed slide bearing with a finely manufactured bushing significantly reduces friction and dirtying during the sliding movement.
