ATE caliper honing brush

The honing brush is the ideal tool to thoroughly clean rusted holes to accommodate the guide sleeves on calipers. The receiving bore in the caliper housing is often more or less corroded. As a result, the guide sleeve is pinched and the guide pins clamp in it. The caliper can not move freely, resulting in further brake problems. After removing the old guide sleeves, the locating holes in the caliper housing are ground to a bare metal with the honing brush. To do this, it is best to use a cordless screwdriver (setting a maximum of 500 rpm) and only to turn it clockwise (clockwise). The honing brush is suitable for use with different diameters of guide sleeve receptacles. After cleaning the holes in the saddle housing, they are coated thinly with Plastilube. This prevents new corrosion and makes the new guide sleeves easier to mount.

Attention: Never grease the guide sleeves inside or the guide pins! These sliding surfaces must remain dry!
