HELICOIL® plus threaded inserts are made of austenitic chrome-nickel steel (tensile strength of at least 1400 N / mm2). The rolled nut thread has a high surface quality. This ensures a highly load-bearing, wear-resistant thread with extremely low and constant torque moment. In the case of repeating screw connections, a higher and constant pretensioning force is thus achieved with the same tightening torque. This simultaneously leads to better utilization of the yield strength of high-strength screws. The torsional stress is significantly reduced: compared to cut threads, the surface roughness of HELICOIL® plus is up to 90 percent lower.
