LOCTITE® Surface Sealant 5188, highly flexible anaerobic
Liquid surface sealing product.
It is suitable for torsionally rigid metal flanges, e.g. on gearbox and engine housings, especially where minor oily contamination of the flange surfaces may occur.
It cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and is particularly suitable for aluminum parts, where very good adhesion is achieved.
Immediately after flange assembly, tightness to low pressures is achieved (immediate sealing effect).
With its extremely high flexibility, meets the requirements of the latest anaerobic surface sealing technology.
Loctite® 5188 achieves excellent bond strength and flexibility even after heat aging and can therefore be used for even the most demanding applications.
OEM manufacturers and suppliers have long benefited from the technical and economic advantages of anaerobic seals.

This product can be applied by hand or dispensed automatically with suitable processing and dispensing equipment.
