For bonding cylindrical parts, especially with narrow gaps up to 0.25 mm (0.01").

Fast curing on all metals, including passive metals such as stainless steel.

LOCTITE® 638 is a joining adhesive that provides high strength on all metals, including passive metals.

The product offers high temperature performance and good oil tolerance, a hand strength of only four minutes and achieves a gap fill of 0.15 mm to 0.25 mm (0.006" to 0.01").

LOCTITE® 638 also tolerates low levels of surface contamination, e.g. from industrial oils.

The high viscosity product is ideal for shafts, gears, pulleys and similar cylindrical parts.

The operating temperature is between -55 °C and 180 °C (-65 °F and 355 °F).
